So I ate some hot chinese and some tame chinese. It was delicious. I had thought about some mexican and some gumbo, but ended up deciding upon chinese that is more chinese than I can get back home.
I had planned to take somemore pictures, but when Ann and I went to the restroom, when I turned around to talk to her, she wasn't there. I said something to myself like "Oh shit" and realized that I didn't have her cell phone number in the cell phone that I had with me. I thought for a minute and called Blue Water Clubhouse and asked them for her cell phone number, but they weren't able to immediately find it.

This was getting too close. Just as I was calling the clubhouse again to find out if they could find her cell phone number, my cell phone started to ring. Thank goodness it was Ann. She had realized that I had left her my cell phone number and was trying to contact me.

I told her where I was, but that didn't work. Then she told me that she could see the one vegetable market that I had noticed on our way in. We hustled out to the van. I didn't have the time to buy any mangos. but I was so relieved that I could handle not getting the mangos.
Next we drocve around Santa Monica and then went on to Venice Beach.

Venice Beach is a funky kind of a place. I really liked it. there was a street musician playing a saxophone.

There are some neat funky little surfer shops. They cover everything with towels when the sun comes in from the west.

There are places on the beach to play basketball and to lift weights. It's just a neat place to think about working out. And there are really some guys with muscles. grin
Here are some pics of Ann near the Pacific Ocean. In the last pic she is picking up shells near the couple who were on the tour who were from New Zealand.
Next we went to Marina Del Rey. It is a manmade harbor. There is a neat little place in the Marina called Fisherman's Village. I wish that I could have spent some more time here. There was a lady in one of the shops that kept trying to sell me fake turquoise. She liked my ring (not fake turquoise) and thought I would enjoy the bracelet. NOT
Here is a shot off the boardwalk at Fisherman's Village.
Here are shots of the condos that border Marina Del Rey. They are just across from the harbor where one keeps their boats. This means that they don't have to try to fight the traffic and drive out when the traffic is bad on the weekend.
