Day Three Disneyland-Whoohoo

Today we did Disneyland. Since it is Friday, it stays open until after a laserlight show and then after that there are fireworks. Jacob suggested going over there, then coming back to the hotel for a while; relaxing and then having something to eat, then going back. After talking things over we decided that sounded like a good idea, since otherwise the day would be too long.

So here we go.

Here are Ann and I with Pluto. He was so nice, he came out just to welcome us and to thank us for coming to Disneyland.

Chip and Dale came out to meet us also, here are our pics with Dale.

Next we went to the small Aladdin's stage show. It was pretty funny.

Next we went on a safari.

This one elephant looked pretty tame, but then we were attacked by rogue elephants.

As you can see by this photo, we did manage to escape with our lives, but just barely. whew it was really close.

Ann started feeling ill right after we went on the safari. Oh! No! She forgot to take the motion sickness pills. We are waiting around trying to see if she will start to feel better. Maybe it is too much excitement.

While we were waiting around I decided to check out the log ride to see how much motion was going to take place.;)

The guy in the black shirt and the lady he was with got totally drenched. I hid behind the guy in front of me.

Ok, now that I have checked that out, let's go back and see how Ann is doing.

"Ann, Ann, are you still dizzy?

ohh, guess so.

While we waited around for Ann's stomach to settle we tried to do some character photos, but they didn't turn out well. (I think it was because I agreed to kiss Pooh on the cheek in the pose., or it could have4 been cause I forgot to change the sttings on the camera after the log ride. Oops, sorry Ann.`

And here is another character photo that I messed up. sigh Well, the Disney staff took the picture, grin--let's blame them.

Ok, now I am frantically playing with the camera to figure out what is wrong. Ack, cough, gasp. Will I never get it right? What will be our fate?
Ok, we've got it now. The camera is fixed in time to take a photo of Ann beside a cactus. Notice there is no pic of Marty beside the cactus. and no we don't have one.

We took this pic while we were waiting to see if Ann would feel well enough to ride Thurnder Mountain. She did, but needed to slow up some after the ride. We did eat some really expensive McD's fries to see if they would help. (Always try comfort food when in need of comfort)

Here are a couple of pics of us in front of the castle.

Because it is Christmas, Ann and I found a snow globe that sits to the left as you walk up the ramp to go through the castle. Here we are beside the globe.

Then we rode on a tiny little train as we made our way to the back of the lot towards the old favorite, It's a Small World.

Actually, it's kind of interesting. You would have to come back to know what many of the rides and displays usually look like.

We went on the ride It's a Small World. I didn't get any pics but it is entirely different than it is during the "normal" year. Everything is changed over to Christmas. I don't know how they do it without ever closing. I can't imagine Disney letting the changeover happen gradually.

We went back to our hotel at 3:15 to rest up for later as the park doen't close until after a laser light show and some fireworks. I was able to come back to see the shows, but Ann wasn't.

I don't have any good pics, but you can picture marty goinh on rides for several hours and then watching the laser light show and the fireworks before heading home. They were good shows, but there is just so much more room and seating for people to be comfortable at Disney World.

Happy Trails, Marty
